Emergency Inspection and Assessment
The moment you call us, a certified IICRC technician is dispatched to your property. We arrive within 45 to 60 minutes anywhere in Greater Boston including Beacon Hill Back Bay Dorchester Cambridge and Brookline.
Once on site our technician does a full walkthrough of the affected areas. We use professional moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to detect water you cannot see with the naked eye, inside walls under floors and above ceilings. This step is critical because hidden moisture is the number one cause of mold and structural damage in Boston’s older homes.
We also identify the category of water involved. Category 1 is clean water from a burst pipe or supply line. Category 2 is grey water from appliances or overflows. Category 3 is black water from sewage or floodwater which requires special handling and safety precautions.
Before any work begins we give you a clear honest assessment of the damage and a transparent estimate with no hidden fees.

Water Extraction and Removal
Once the assessment is complete we immediately begin removing all standing water. We use truck mounted pumps and industrial grade wet vacuums that are far more powerful than anything available at a hardware store. Every minute counts because water spreads fast, soaking into drywall subfloors insulation and wood framing.
For flooded basements which are extremely common in Boston after nor’easters and heavy rain we deploy submersible pumps to handle large volumes of water quickly. We can typically remove hundreds of gallons in a single session.
We also extract water from carpets padding and upholstery using specialized tools that pull moisture deep from within the fibers. The faster water is removed the better the chance of saving your floors and furniture and avoiding costly replacements.
After extraction we do a second moisture reading to confirm all standing water has been removed and to identify exactly where drying equipment needs to be placed in the next step.

Drying and Dehumidification
Removing visible water is only half the job. The real challenge is eliminating the moisture trapped inside your walls floors and ceilings. This is where most DIY attempts fail. Standard household fans simply move air around. They do not actually dry the structure of your home.
Boston homes present unique drying challenges. Many properties in neighborhoods like South End Jamaica Plain and Somerville are over 100 years old with plaster walls brick foundations and hardwood floors that absorb water differently than modern construction. Our team has the experience to handle these materials with care.
We monitor moisture levels daily using digital moisture meters and thermal cameras. We do not remove equipment until readings confirm your property has reached safe dry standard levels. This usually takes 3 to 5 days depending on the extent of the damage.
We place industrial air movers and commercial dehumidifiers throughout the affected areas. These machines work together to pull moisture out of building materials and reduce indoor humidity to safe levels. We follow IICRC S500 standards to make sure every area is dried completely and correctly.

Cleaning and Sanitization
Once your property is dry we begin a thorough cleaning and sanitization of all affected surfaces. This step is essential for protecting your family’s health especially when the water damage involved grey or black water which carries bacteria sewage and other harmful contaminants.
We apply EPA approved antimicrobial treatments to all affected walls floors and surfaces. These treatments kill bacteria mold spores and other pathogens that can cause respiratory problems allergies and illness, particularly dangerous for children elderly residents and anyone with existing health conditions.
We also run HEPA air scrubbers throughout the property. These machines filter the air and capture microscopic particles including mold spores dust and allergens that become airborne during water damage events. This restores healthy indoor air quality throughout your home or business.
Any materials that cannot be safely cleaned and restored, such as heavily saturated drywall carpet padding or insulation, are safely removed and disposed of following all Massachusetts regulations. We document everything for your insurance claim.

Restoration and Repairs
The final step is returning your property to its pre-loss condition. This is where we go beyond just drying and cleaning, we actually fix and rebuild what was damaged. You do not need to hire a separate contractor. Our team handles the full scope of repairs from start to finish.
Depending on the extent of the damage restoration work can include replacing drywall and insulation repairing or replacing subfloors refinishing or replacing hardwood floors repainting walls and ceilings reinstalling baseboards and trim and repairing or replacing damaged cabinetry.
We work directly with your insurance company throughout the entire restoration process. We provide detailed documentation including photos moisture logs and itemized repair lists that your adjuster needs to process your claim smoothly and fairly. Most of our customers pay little or nothing out of pocket.
Before we consider the job complete we do a final walkthrough with you to make sure every area meets our quality standards and your satisfaction. We want you to feel like the damage never happened. That is our goal on every single job in every Boston neighborhood we serve.
